Meet your Kansas City Cello Society organizers:

Jodie Fuentes, President, has been involved in organizing KCCS events since 2009.  Jodie is an active player and private teacher in the Kansas City Community.

Dr. Ezgi Karakus, Vice-President, has helped out with several KCCS events in the past and has now officially joined the team.  Ezgi is an extremely busy and multi-cultural cellist performing locally, nationally and internationally.

Michelle Brown, Secretary/Treasurer, is an Orchestra teacher in Lee's Summit School District and is in her 13th year of public education. She also teaches privately at Northland Cathedral School of Music and actively plays cello around town. Her Masters of Music Education was earned in 2010 at the University of Central Missouri.  Michelle is new to KCCS and a welcome addition to our team. 

In the past we have sponsored two events per year, the Very Cello Christmas and a summer workshop which usually spans a few days.  We hope to continue to do those events and hopefully add more.
